Spring is definately here and my yard isn’t done yet. I have been working on clearing the thing and getting it ready for new grass but its slow because I have been keeping QUITE busy with work. So, these pictures are mostly of the turf surface. I am posting these with this detail because I have a buddy advising me and he needs to see how the soil is looking. If you are into prepping soil, enjoy the pictures!
Spring is definitly fast approaching as you can see from the looks of the flowers around my house. The yard renovation is still going on, I have not given up and I can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am about to slaughter the existing lawn along with all the perennial weeds and Bermuda grass that has infested it over the years. The sprinklers are almost all installed and if you saw the back yard last summer almost nothing will look the same. I can’t wait to get some green back on the ground and break out the boccie ball set!
A wood chipper can be a scary machine. Who hasn’t heard of the horror stories of people being sucked into them and being reduced to a giant stain on the landscape? Well, this one wasn’t one of those kinds of chippers and I had some seasoned help. My dad came up to help me get rid of my beaver dam and reclaim my yard. Look at the pictures
My back yard has always been a challenge for me. I am no gardener and don’t know much about caring for plants. So as a result lots of things are getting away from me. This winter I am taking advantage of barren trees to do some pruning and cutting back. One big thing was the removal of the fig tree, read about it here. There is still a lot to do but when its done it will be a great place to hang out during the summer. Bring on the Bocce Ball!
Looking for the rest of the pictures? They are in the shoebox.
