Most years winter is just as good a time as any to work on one’s yard, especially if you aren’t actually planning on planting anything during that time. But this year has been inconvenient. Its raining again and this time its starting to put a dent in my progress. The trench I dug for power to the hot tub, the one that is supposed to have conduit in it this afternoon is full of water. Its official, the water table is dang high in my back yard. So we will see how this effects the wiring of the hot tub tomorrow morning. If I wasn’t so determined to get this done I figure it might not.

Fortunately in other areas I am making some progress. I moved the sago to the other side of the patio where its permanent home will be. I also got some of the dirt out of what Christy has coined the ‘TJ pile’ and used it for fill in my extra parking. With the ground nearly leveled in there I was able to buy my first load of gravel. Its cheap and makes me feel like progress is happening. I can’t wait until I get rid of all the waste wood and of course the beaver dam.
