Yesterday was a little exciting around the Woolsey house. My parents called at 8am saying that they had gotten the call to evacuate and they were told to go north – which means they were coming to our house. That is 3 people, a dog and a cat… incoming. Oh and did I mention that Christy’s oldest brother lives next door to my parents and they have 6 kids and 8 puppies. They were planning on coming up too. Around that time I spoke to a friend who was talking about parking his RV’s at his wife’s hotel for extra lodging. So I called around and suggested to a few people that we start opening homes and found out that people were already working to get a network started. For now, we are hosting www.socalrefugees.com as a forum to offer shelter or to find shelter. My parents wound up here for the night, Christy’s brother and family did not. So at least everyone had a bed here last night. I will post some pictures later of some of the carnage.
