Its a strange thing about people around here. Its not that they are shy, but we are conditioned as people to assume that everything comes at a price or with an obligation, therefore we shy away from things. This morning we did commuter coffee at a new location. Commuter coffee is an outreach thing we did when we first planted Impact Church. We set up on a corner with a bunch of traffic and we handed out cups of free Starbucks coffee with an invite card to Impact Church. It was a raging success after a few weeks. But as all good things do, this one ended when Murrieta’s finest came along and told us that we could no longer occupy that area or any other area where we might be obstructing traffic. We had such a great response to it and we still have families at our church as a result of it, so we picked a new spot. We held commuter coffee at the La Cresta Avenue and Clinton Keith intersection in Murrieta. As with the last time, people drove by and smiled politely but had no interest in stopping. My experience says, they will be stopping next week. I can’t wait to see who we meet as a result of this new campaign.
